Anyway, the pivot on the underside of his trunk, where the black bar attaches...basically you cut a square piece off of where the copyright is to allow the pivot go through the square instead of hitting the plastic.
It allows you to bend the trunk down farther. Now, all you have to do is turn the torso around, switch the hands and boom, instant 3rd mode.

It's not too hard. Just a good workout, since I was using a none-too-sharp Xacto.
